Island Camera

Privacy Policy

Last updated June 22, 2026

1. Data handling

Island Camera has no account system, advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. The app processes photographs on your device and does not upload them to servers operated by Island Camera.

2. Photos and storage

Island Camera stores original photographs, rendered photographs, thumbnails, edit settings, and image metadata in the app’s container on your device.

If you enable iCloud sync, the app copies and manages these files in a private iCloud container associated with your Apple Account. Apple processes iCloud data under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Turning off iCloud sync stops the app from using iCloud for new storage, but it does not automatically delete files already stored in iCloud.

Deleting a photograph inside Island Camera removes the app-managed copies that the app can access. Copies saved to your Photos library or shared with another app or service remain until you delete them there.

3. Permissions

Camera

The app uses camera access for the live preview and to capture photographs. It processes camera frames and captured photographs on your device.

Photos

When you save a rendered photograph to Photos, the app requests add-only access. When you import a photograph, Apple’s system photo picker gives the app only the item you select. The app processes that item on your device and stores it in the app’s container only if you save the edit.

Location

Location metadata is off by default. If you turn it on, the app requests location access while in use and adds available coordinates to the metadata of new rendered photographs. Location metadata stays in the image and may be included when you save or share it.

4. Apple services and sharing

Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions. Island Camera receives product and entitlement information needed to unlock features, but it does not receive your payment card number, billing address, or Apple Account password.

When you use the system share sheet, the app passes the photograph you selected to the destination you choose. That destination handles the photograph under its own privacy policy.

Apple may process iCloud, App Store, and device diagnostic data under its own terms. Island Camera does not add a separate analytics or crash-reporting service.

5. Your controls

  • Turn off location metadata or iCloud sync in Island Camera settings.
  • Change camera, Photos, or location permissions in iOS Settings.
  • Delete app-managed photographs inside Island Camera.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.

Deleting Island Camera removes its local app data. It does not remove photographs saved to Photos, copies shared elsewhere, or data that remains in iCloud.

6. Contact and policy changes

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to respond to your request and may retain it as needed for support, security, or legal obligations.

We may update this policy when the app’s data practices or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
